The “How To” Behind Six Pack Abs

You are looking for information to getting the body you have always desired which will include having perfect six pack abs otherwise you would not be here. But before we get into how to get six pack abs I think it is important you know exactly what are 6 pack abs. Men and women alike now are trying to get a six pack – it looks just like a washboard, and it’s something everyone wants, but few know how to achieve. Six pack abs are muscles that go from your chest to your pelvic region.

The muscle runs flat and there are some tendons that crisscross over the muscle, which make it all separate and appear as a washboard effect. The muscle helps with any movement in your body that’s associated with your core, so it pays to strengthen the muscle for more than just aesthetic reasons.

You also have some oblique muscles that are both external and internal and attached to your ribs. The external ones are diagonal in your body and the internal ones appear at a right angle to them. They’re there to provide extra support for your body.

The first component you have to have a handle on is attitude. Your efforts to having those great looking abs is to tell yourself right now that it is going to be a hard slog. You will have to be disciplined and focused. You will need to sacrifice. If goal setting is foreign to you, you better start getting in the habit of doing it now because having the perfect six pack is no jog in the park.


Number two component you will have to master is your diet. Let’s not kid ourselves here. To have a six pack, or any muscle definition, you will have to know what to eat to get a six pack. And you get that fuel by eating a low carb, high protein diet. Protein is the buidling blocks of muscle development. High protein foods include meats, eggs, dairy and nuts. The good news is that you do not have to strictly eat these foods, simply include them in your eating. Even more good news is that you will not have to eliminate all the sugary, startchy foods, just cut right back on them. Actually, I indulge in these foods on a Sunday as a reward for all the work I have put in during the week. How to eat for the perfect body is quite easy once you are armed with the right information.


Your third and final discipline to acheiving the perfect six pack abs is exercise. Here comes the grunt work Ladies and Gentlemen. Nothing worthwhile is gotten without hard work and you are going to lose a lot of sweat and perhaps a little blood. One point here is that this exercise regime can be performed at home.

Do not pay huge gym fees to get your abs. Purchasing a few, inexpensive aids, such as this resistance bands set, will be sufficient to give you the tools to incorporate all the exercises you need. You will want a varied campaign to prevent your exercise from being monotonous but this can happen in your lounge or home gym.
